Lapman Lee is a Professor of Practice (ESG, FinTech, Governance) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and area convenor of its Climate Change and Sustainable Finance Center or Excellence. Prior to his academic role he was a Regulatory & Risk Management Partner at Deloitte, which included Financial Crime. He regularly advises policymakers and regulators, financial institutions and corporates in Asia and Europe on climate change and sustainability, digitalization, emerging technologies and FinTech. Lapman is active in his industry roles as a Board member of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, where he looks after AI & Big Data, and co-founded the InsurTech Committee, and as a Vice Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce Financial Markets Committee, and is a senior advisor of Bain & Company and was a senior PR and strategic communications advisor at Edelman with a focus on financial institutions, FinTech and formulating clients' ESG narrative and story.
